At BAAS we believe that social inclusion is an integral part of everyone’s wellbeing, and this is why we offer weekly Social & Life Skills Events for autistic adults and their wider family members, giving you an opportunity to connect with others with shared life experiences, you can also learn a new skill during one of our cooking or crafting sessions, or just come along for a brew, sit back and find out what we’re all about.
We offer groups at different locations around the Bolton area, on a range of days and times. We enjoy a mixture of cookery skills and arts and crafts sessions, along with occasional quizzes and board games sessions.
There is no pressure to take part, and if you just want to come along and have a cuppa and a chat, or even bring along something that you like to do, then you are more than welcome to do so.
These sessions are open to all autistic adults (aged 18+) and also their carers/parents/other supporters.
There is no pressure to stay for the whole 2 hours. You can come when you want and leave when you want. We would rather see you for 10 minutes than not at all!
Support is available on how to access other services that we offer, and referrals can be made for Advocacy and Befriending.
Carers/parents/other supporters are welcome to join in with the activities or if they wish to provide mutual support then they are also welcome to do so. Where possible, we will try to facilitate a separate room or area for this.
You can find our upcoming schedule of events here and also on our Facebook page here.
